Dennis Allen Retirement Announcement

We wish Dennis all the best in his retirement and thank him for commitment to Eagle Dynamic Solutions.

After over 40 years in the dredging & sludge dewatering industry, Eagle Dynamic Solutions’ Vice President Dennis Allen has announced his retirement effective 5/13/21.

Dennis was a graduate of Wake Forest University and founded Western Dredge in Boise, ID. Western Dredge was later acquired by Eagle Dynamic Solutions where Dennis finished out his career as vice-president. Dennis has lived and worked in the Augusta, GA area for nearly 20 years and he leaves Eagle Dynamic Solutions with a well-respected reputation as an industry leading expert.

“Dennis is one of the most honest people I have met in my career. Few are as hardworking and knowledgeable in the dredging and sludge dewatering industry. In our twenty-plus years together as friends and colleagues I am consistently impressed and reminded of his commitment to the business and loyalty to its customers and employees. My trust and confidence in him have never wavered. Dennis will be missed, and I wish him all the success in his retirement and working on his golf score.” Says Marvin Brown, President of Eagle Dynamic Solutions.

In addition to his service at Eagle Dynamic Solutions, Dennis is an active member of the community and volunteers at the First Tee of Augusta. In retirement, he looks forward to spending more time with his family and countless hours on the golf course.

How Eagle Dynamic Solutions Found Disposal Alternatives to Expensive Landfill Costs

CHALLENGE

Local area landfills would not accept dewatered alum sludge or would charge double the normal disposal rate unless it met a minimum of 40% cake solids.

SOLUTIONS

Along with the right dewatering technique and chemical mixture, Eagle provided an economical blending material that was in the customer's budget to meet the landfill requirement

BENEFITS

The blended material produced cake solids that were acceptable to the local landfill. This resulted in closer options for disposal and reduced costs to our customer.

We currently have three Dino6 Dredges in our dredge fleet.

The main benefits of dredging with a Dino 6 Dredge include:

Dredging depth of up to 13 ft
Wheels on cutter head prevent dredge from damaging liners in HDPE lined ponds
Only weighs 4,000 lbs allowing it to be easily moved from pond to pond

Things to consider:

Where am I dredging the material to?
Will the pump be too large/too small to pump my sludge?
Do I have space to anchor cables for the dredge?

How Eagle Dynamic Solutions Helped Divert 35,000 Tons of Sludge from Being Landfilled

CHALLENGE

Waste stream from processing facility contained unsuitable materials (plastics and assorted debris) that prevented the beneficial reuse through land application on local farmers fields.

SOLUTIONS

Eagle installed an automated system that separated the unsuitable materials from the waste stream 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. The system can process various flow rates from the plant without added labor requirements.

Saved 35,000 tons of landfill capacity and diverted to beneficial reuse.

BENEFITS

The removal of the unsuitable materials produced a product that was acceptable to the local farmers for land application. This resulted in reduced costs to our customer and preserved their valuable landfill capacity. A win/win to a challenging problem.
